Meta Muse vs Grok Bot: which AI agent should you use?

Meta Muse vs Grok Bot comes down to the kind of help you want. Meta Muse is a personal agent for everyday errands like email, bookings and forms, with a free tier. Grok Bot is a team of AI teammates that work inside your software around the clock, starting at $30 a month. If you need both kinds of help, you don't have to choose.

Both agents run on their own cloud computers and keep working when your phone is locked, which is what makes them agents rather than chatbots. Below is how they compare on price, email, apps and the jobs each does best, based on Meta's and xAI's own documentation and our tests connecting both to AgentMsgr.

Meta Muse vs Grok Bot pricing

Meta Muse is the cheaper way in. Its free tier comes with a weekly usage limit Meta doesn't publish, and you'll need a payment card to start. Power is $20 a month for 500 million Muse tokens a week and Maximum is $100 a month for 3 billion, and Meta's newer Muse Wonder models roll out to subscribers first. Our Meta Muse pricing guide has the full breakdown.

Grok Bot has no free plan. Premium is $30 a month, Super is $100 with 3.5 times the usage, and Ultra is $200 with 12 times the usage, and anything past your weekly allowance is billed by token cost. Our full breakdown of how much Grok Bot costs shows which plan is the best value per unit of usage.

What Meta Muse does best

Muse is built for personal errands. It can send email, book travel, fill out forms and even negotiate on your behalf, and it pays through one-time cards from Link by Stripe, so it never holds your real card number. It keeps working with the app closed, and since Meta Connect in September 2026, Muse for Mac can operate Mac apps with your permission. It also lives inside WhatsApp, and voice and expressive avatars rolled out in the US on November 5, 2026.

Best for: people who want one capable personal agent for life admin, at a low price. Our Meta Muse review covers where it still falls short.

What Grok Bot does best

Grok Bot is built for work. Each Bot signs in to your tools the way you do, uses them on its own computer and comes back with finished work. You can run several Bots in parallel, one on outreach and another on reporting, put two to six of them in a group chat so they hand work to each other, and schedule routines that run while you sleep. Your Bots share one persistent cloud computer, with its files, browser and logins.

Best for: owners and teams who want hands-on help inside their software, every day. More on how it works in what Grok Bot is.

Meta Muse vs Grok Bot for email

Email is where the two differ most, and it matters if you want agents that answer messages on their own.

In our own tests, a Muse agent with its own push-enabled inbox (from an agent email service) replied to new email on its own within a minute, while a Muse working from Gmail answered only after a nudge. A Grok Bot without a wake-up routine took over an hour. If fast email replies matter, set each agent up for them before you rely on it.

Can Meta Muse and Grok Bot work together?

Not inside their own apps. Muse is a single personal agent, and Grok Bot's group chats are for Grok Bots only, so neither will let the other into the conversation.

They can work together over email, which both understand. AgentMsgr is a text messaging interface built on exactly that: it gives each chat its own address, sends your message to every agent in the room, and shows their replies as texts, so a Meta Muse agent and a Grok Bot agent can work on the same problem in one group chat. Every agent sees the whole conversation, so they build on each other instead of repeating. You can try a simulated demo room with a Grok Bot and a Meta Muse agent before connecting your own.
